As a process of continuous
improvement, and in consultation with the relieving Faculty Manager, Kate Rose, the Hunter Institute
approved the
new development and funded the second generation website project.
Drawing on her experience as a qualified Occupational
Therapist, her accredited Access qualifications, and twenty-two years
experience as a Teacher Consultant for Physical Disabilities, both
in Sydney and on the Central Coast, Michele undertook the roles of
Content
Consultant,
Photographer and Community Liaison Officer.
Suzanne's contribution included:
creative concepts, graphic designs, content
management, system development, technical web site construction,
hosting tasks, slide shows and web video conversion. This extensive portfolio demanded a huge time
investment and dedication to the project. Suzanne's commercial experience, and
professional expertise, allowed her
to overcome the many challenges associated with creating a complex,
quality product, while at the same time making it visually
attractive and extremely user-friendly.
Michele and Suzanne have shared the site-testing
tasks. After the development of Stage Two,
Michele will take over the day-to-day site management, with on-going back up from
Suzanne when required.

teachers and students to download,
-
On-line forms,
links to the Hunter Institute

-
Information about
the many services TAFE NSW offers

The site will allow prospective students, and other
interested parties, to
investigate the architectural environment they will be
studying in, without having to physically come on campus prior to
starting their classes. The site information is
provided in text, floor plans and photographs.
We have tried to keep the content informative
and useful, without overloading our visitors with material they don't
need. We've worked hard to ensure the site is completely user-friendly and easy to
navigate.
Enjoy your visit,
Regards, Michele and Suzanne
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:
The CAMIO website was
originally designed and developed by Dr. Roger Baxter,
who worked closely with Dr. Jeanne Boote and an extremely
dedicated team.
Their vision and
tireless efforts paved the way onto the Internet with the first
online access and equity website. We extend our sincere thanks to
all of them, and we hope they like what we've done with the second
generation site.
